Division Bingo Card Maker

Math teachers are nearly always looking for methods, that can be used in the classroom, that can be used for practising division. There are many options, but one option that you may not have previously thought about is to introduce bingo. The way division bingo is played is almost exactly like the standard game of bingo except that the bingo cards contain numbers which are the solutions to division problems rather than the ordinary bingo numbers. Every one of the students in the class is of course given one of these cards, the teacher acts as bingo caller, but of course calls out division problems instead of the numbers on the cards, and you proceed with the game. Winners are determined according to the usual rules for bingo, but of course marked off items only count if they have been crossed off as a result of correctly answering one of the division question.

Of course, the main requirement that you will need to play division bingo in class is to get hold of a set of bingo cards printed with the numbers which are the answers to the teacher's chosen division problems. You might well think this to be a major obstacle. Luckily you can prepare some customised cards quite straightforwardly with the help of a PC and a bingo card maker program. All you need to do is download then install the program on your computer, and you could be printing out custom bingo materials just minutes later.

To summarise, many teachers are finding bingo can be of assistance with math practise. It is an interesting but also educational activity: and I would strongly recommend you consider giving it a go!
